Faux Pearl Wall Paint Tips:

Tip 1: Mixing pearlescent wall paint glaze with Ghost Pearl or Candy powdered pearl pigments is a hot trend. Combine the pigment with clear glaze or water-based polyurethane, and use a brush to apply it over your existing latex paint. Remember, avoid rollers or sprayers for faux finish; stick to sponges, rags, brushes, or your preferred faux finish techniques.

Tip 2: One bag of Candy Pearls or Ghost Pearl pigment can treat up to a gallon of glaze or clear poly. It’s best to mix smaller quantities, about a quart at a time, to achieve the desired consistency.

Tip 3: Select a base color that complements your pearled Candy faux finish. The choice of base color is crucial. For instance, blue ghost pearl looks great over light blue or grey paint, while gold pearl complements reds, greens, oranges, or browns. Don’t hesitate to experiment with different combinations.

Tip 4: Adding a touch of pearl faux finish over white or black latex paint creates a unique custom paint effect. Our flip colors are ideal for black bases, and you’ll achieve color-changing results with multiple coats over a black base. Many use our Caribbean Gold chameleon pearl for theater settings to create realistic water backgrounds.  Silver ghost pearls enhance home theater walls and screens by improving light distribution and picture quality.

Transforming white walls into pearl-like finishes is straightforward. Use white or silver pearl in glaze over your existing paint. Share your pictures with us demonstrate how pearls can elevate your home decor.
